“If the Australian landscape was better understood, we could save the world from environmental disaster” ~ Peter Andrews OAM.

How Peter Andrews rejuvenates drought-struck land:

Peter is presenting at the Landscape Restoration workshop at Yarrie Station, Pilbara WA
Peter Andrews OAM has been restoring the environment using his unique landscape practices throughout Australia for over 30 years with extraordinary success. Despite this, his methods are yet to be widely implemented. Peter and Don Burke OAM are now reaching out to Richard Branson asking him to assist in driving this forward.
Peter Andrews OAM speaks about Natural Sequence Farming on the last open day at Tarwyn Park, the legendary property near Bylong in NSW which is now threatened by the KEPCO coal mine.

Bill Mollison (1928 – September 2016):

He was an Australian researcher, author, scientist, teacher and biologist. In 1981, he was awarded the Right Livelihood Award “for developing and promoting the theory and practice of permaculture”.

Permaculture — from permanent and agriculture — is an integrated design philosophy that encompasses gardening, architecture, horticulture, ecology, even money management and community design. The basic approach is to create sustainable systems that provide for their own needs and recycle their waste. Mollison developed permaculture after spending decades in the rainforests and deserts of Australia studying ecosystems. He observed that plants naturally group themselves in mutually beneficial communities. He used this idea to develop a different approach to agriculture and community design, one that seeks to place the right elements together so they sustain and support each other. [source: https://scott.london/interviews/mollison.html ]

Bruce Charles ‘Bill’ Mollison was a researcher, author, scientist, teacher and naturalist from Australia. He is considered to be the ‘father of permaculture’, an integrated system of design, co-developed with David Holmgren, that encompasses not only agriculture, horticulture, architecture and ecology, but also economic systems, land access strategies and legal systems for businesses and communities. He received the Right Livelihood Award in 1981 with Patrick van Rensburg.
