South Poll Grass Cattle Association

[warning – poor sound quality] Teddy Gentry spent thousands of hours on the road touring with country music band Alabama in the 80s and 90s. In that time, he taught himself everything he needed to know to start a breed of cattle that would be heat tolerant, produce a good quality cut of meat, and meet a host of other qualifiers that no other breed could. He called his new breed the South Poll. Now, the breed has gained in popularity and is becoming common in states in the south and the midwest.

Super exciting to harness these genetics into the herd, very docile bull and we are pumped to see his daughters in the future. Still a yearling so he’s gotta grow into his working clothes.
