The farm owner, Himkar Mishra, is continuing in the tradition and following in the footsteps of his father, Shri Samarnath Mishra and his late mother Smt. Shail Mishra.
The farm (2016) mostly sources its plants “in house”. There are 5,000 papaya trees and another 5,000 are to be added. There are also around 20,000 pink pepper trees.
Wood ash is used a lot to make the fruit sweeter and mulching is one of the key ingredients of the farming process. Bee hives are also on the farm. The farm is also no-till, so no weeding takes place. If any pruning takes place, the biomass is recirculated back into the system.
A very positive sign is that in the last 1 1/2 years the birds have started to come back, and tumblers are pitches are placed around the natural food forest for the birds and insects.
