Full tour of Ten Mothers Farm in Cedar Grove, NC. Owners Gordon and Vera show off everything on their farm in this video. They are a no-till farm that grows produce for 124 CSA members and a half dozen restaurants.

This small family farm raises cows, pigs, chickens (broilers and layers), and turkeys on pasture. The farm is very organized with an emphasis on systems and efficiency. They also house homeless men that help out on the farm.

The Agriculture Financing Initiative (AgriFI) is an innovative EU-funded blending facility supporting investments with a value chain approach focusing on smallholder’s inclusiveness and/or agri-business medium, small and micro enterprises (MSME).

AgriFi is financed by the European Union and managed by the EDFI Management Company. AgriFI responds to the lack of financing mechanisms adapted to smallholders with limited market orientation, vulnerable groups, women and youth, farmers and entrepreneurs.

19.02.2015 USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service provides assistance to beginning farmers as well as veterans. Colonel Lisa Forsyth is both.

21.06.2019 Farming isn’t the easiest occupation and to many people’s surprise, it can be difficult to get into if you haven’t been around it your whole life. Good news; USDA has a program that recruits, retains, and supports new farmers and ranchers.
